OXAPAMPA: Paradise between mountains
Thousands of people visit this city every single year, locating iit second in the ranking of most visited places in the Peruvian central jungle.

For its abundant flora and fauna, Oxapampa is considered one of the cleanest cities in our country, besides being a natural site for Peru.
What tourist attractions can I find in Oxapampa?
Food, waterfalls, animals, native communities and customs is what you can find in this city; in addition to a cordial treatment on the part of its inhabitants. A great example of this is the Yánesha native community, which has a craft workshop where they work with pieces of wood, seeds (huayruros, cow eyes and others), vegetable fibers, mud, bird feathers (macaws, parrots and others) and natural dyes They also sell them to the public and offer guided tours to tourists.
A little about its natural reserve:
The "Yanachaga Chemillén National Park" is a protected area of 122 thousand hectares covering the districts of Oxapampa, Huancabamba, Pozuzo, Villa Rica and Palcazú. The park is located on the eastern slope of the Peruvian Andes, known for hosting a great biodiversity, which includes many endangered species, making it one of the most important natural parks in Peru.
“SELVÁMONOS”
Oxapampa is an important livestock and coffee center,
and for ten years it has been the epicenter of music and culture thanks to the Selvámonos festival, which takes place every year at the end of June. In this celebration, more than 20 international musical groups, such as Little Jesus, Sea Wolves (CHL), Iseo & Dodosound with The Mousehunters (ESP), Nano Stern (CHL), The Inspector Cluzo (FR), Kebra Ethiopia (ZAF), as well as the bands Naval Novalima, Bareto, Miki Gonzalez, La Mente, Hit the Rose, among others, come to Oxapampa to appear on June 29 and 30.
